Instead of fighting the air, you just heat the substrate directly. The actual win here is the physics. IR lamps turn electricity into radiant heat. That means you can ditch the massive blowers and heat exchangers that make your power bill skyrocket. Since we’re using short-wave IR, you can hit your temperature targets in seconds. No more waiting around for long warm-up cycles. Less time spent heating up means fewer kilowatt-hours per wafer. It’s that simple.
