On the lithography floor, a 0.3°C drift in the photoresist bake is all it takes to print a linewidth excursion that makes it all the way to final test. You don’t get a do-over. We built this CE-approved semiconductor heater to keep thermal behavior inside the process window, shift after shift.
What matters under the hood
The unit runs on a short-wave infrared (SWIR) element with a quartz-based thermal path, so it ramps fast and settles clean. Across the bake zone, wafer-level uniformity holds at ±0.1°C, and repeatability stays tight enough that your SPC charts don’t fight you. It plays by cleanroom rules: Class 1–100 compatible, low-outgas materials, and a build that keeps particle generation at background levels. The design is meant for 24/7 fab duty, with protection circuits and solid terminals that keep uptime steady.
Why this matters in photoresist processing
Soft bake and hard bake temperatures directly set CD bias and sidewall profile. Get that right and you cut rework, scrap, and the hidden pain of re-qualification. Tight uniformity plus fast settling shrinks thermal settling time, so you keep throughput up without paying for it in yield. The efficient radiant coupling cuts energy use and keeps overshoot from creeping into the recipe. You end up with a thermal signature that follows the process, not the room.
Field realities to plan for
Installation comes down to airflow and mounting flatness—any gap turns into thermal asymmetry. The heater is CE approved for semiconductor integration, but final compliance still depends on your enclosure, interlocks, and EMC practices. Specify voltage and connector orientation up front; field changes are an easy way to invite variability.
